Panasonic Jet Force Vacuum

I’m guessing that pet parents vacuum about twice as often as other people…it’s just part of the deal. Pets love us unconditionally and bring so much joy to our lives, that we’re willing to put up with their dirty paws and shedding, and everything else that comes with having a furry family member!

We vacuum at least a couple times a week around here just to keep Daisy’s shedding from getting out of control, but I still usually ended up also using a lint roller to really remove all the fur from the furniture. Such a chore, and clearly our old vacuum cleaner just wasn’t getting the job done.

I was super excited when we were invited to test out the new Panasonic Jet Force MC-UL427 Bagless Vacuum! I honestly didn’t expect to be so happy about a new piece of cleaning equipment, but what a difference it makes having the right tool for the job!

our new Panasonic vacuum

It was really fast and easy to put together, and I love the look of it. It’s got a sleek and modern design, and I’m crazy about the black and purple! It looks like a very expensive vacuum cleaner, so I was surprised when I checked and saw that the list price was only $149. It’s got so many great features that I would have expected it to cost about twice that when I look at what else is out there.

I’d never used a bagless vacuum before so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. After using it for the first time, it was both fun and shocking to actually SEE how much pet hair, dust and other yuck was sucked up.

Daisy fur

Gross, huh? Made me kind of mad to realize all the time I’d been wasting with my old vacuum cleaner since it had been leaving all this behind!  The container has a line to let you know when to empty it, and you just flip the bottom open and let all the stuff fall into the trash. I was worried that there would be a lot of loose dust flying around but didn’t find that to be a problem at all. It does take a little practice to do it without getting your hand dirty and it needs to be emptied frequently, but it’s really easy to use and NO more replacement bags to buy, so I’m not complaining.

In addition to a HEPA filter and bagless design, there are a bunch of other great features I love about this vacuum.  It easily switched from carpet to bare floors and it’s light at less than 15 pounds. I’m guessing my old one weighed twice that! The light weight makes it extremely easy to maneuver around, meaning less work and a faster cleaning time.

retractable cord

It’s also got a retractable power cord, which might not seem like a big deal to some people, but it’s really handy! Cleaning is enough work without the hassle of having to wrap and unwrap the cord each time and small details like this one really save time and energy! The cord does get a little warm but I suspect that’s because we used it for an extra-long time the first time we vacuumed…both because of the poor job our old vacuum had apparently been doing, plus so we could really test it out and get a few photos.

Woof Woof Papa cleaning the sofa

And since Woof Woof Papa LOVES his tools, he volunteered to  demonstrate the Pet Hair Air-Turbine Brush attachment tool in action! The vacuum comes with 3 tools but this one is our favorite. Super fast and easy to pick up ALL the loose Daisy hair with no need to get out the lint brush afterwards! Our 10 year old sofa hasn’t looked so great in years!!!

We tested the pet tool on just about every surface, including the blinds, hard to reach corners, window sills and even Daisy’s dog bed. So handy to be able to give it a quick once over between washes!

The only thing I wish is that the hose were a little longer and easier to stretch without tipping over the machine, but my guess is that it will loosen up after a while. I’m going to search and see if I can get an extra extender, too. Not a big issue considering that, to quote the hubby, “this thing works like a gem!”

We are really pleased with this vacuum and would recommend it to anyone wanting a super affordable, lightweight and powerful machine. Want to know more?

Comments

  1. This vacuum looks so cool!  Isn’t it gross what new vacuums pick up?  Just as cool is the reasonable price on this one.

  2. I love the look of this vacuum, too! I have a bagless vacuum now and it is great – I’ll never go back to bags again! (Your house is beautiful, BTW…)

  3. I love the brush – I have a HEPA bagless vacuum (I have a shedding pet too) but my brush’s suction is terrible.  I will definitely check this out!

  4. I love the size of this attachment. The one I have is big and clumsy. This looks like it will get down in crevices where the dander settles and is working great on sides of the cushions. I am going to start fostering Pits and their fur is so fine it just settles in every little space.

  5. A cute vacuum with great suction at a great price.  Hoping Santa is paying attention.

  6. This looks like a great vacuum! Even though my dog doesn’t shed, we still have to vacuum all the time. She likes to eat every little speck of dust on the floor!

  7. Wow, would love to have one! look at that dog hair… amazing how it collect it! Love bagless vacuums 🙂

  8. Neat, I don’t think I knew Panasonic made vacuums! We have one you ‘see’ the dirt w/too…but I’m always looking for something better, thanks for posting!!

I love that you talked about the pet hair issue, and how well it works…I’ve bought a few vacuums based on ads that talked about how great they were…and they did squat…lol… I will look into this one, especially at this price, and maybe get rid of some of these crazy animal hairs!
