Karen was first inspired to write children’s books when she adopted her little dog Louie from the Northeast Animal Shelter in 2011. Her stories promote animal kindness, responsible pet ownership and pet adoption. With a mission to inspire leadership and advocacy in the younger generations, she visits classrooms to read her books and discuss a wide range of age appropriate advocacy topics.

All the profits from the sale of her books goes back to animal rescue, so you can understand why we think they make SUCH a great gift!

  1. Linda Szymoniak says

I’m a hound lover, so I’d have to pick “The Gentle Beagle” from this group.  As far as books as gifts, they are the BEST gifts you can give (and receive).  I’ve always been an avid reader, starting as far back as I can remember.  I always won the award for most books read at the end of each school year, but I wasn’t reading just to win the award.  I just loved to read.  I even walked to the library by my grandfather’s house in Florida when we visited him over Christmas break.  I would go and do research for my science projects and found books to read while I was there.  Books can give you the world.

  2. Wendy Hatton says

It’s never too early to teach kids to enjoy books. They’re a great gift idea for quiet time, reading together or bed time relaxation reading.

  3. We love these books.

  4. I think the Terrier’s Tale would be our favorite. We love our terrier at home!

  5. My grandson loves my “little white dog” and I know he would love these stories!

  6. I love book giveaways, and these all look great! Thanks for the opportunity!

  7. Jennifer Pierce says

    My son loves ALLLLL books.

  8. I would love to win A Terrier’s tale. I would actually take this win and donate it to someone who supports our humane society shelter.

  9. Books are great gift because they last for years!  Having two dogs my daughter loves dog books.
