We buy them a lot of treats that they think are just for their enjoyment instead of training. Shhhhh. . .we’ll just not tell them different. We also try to buy a few long-lasting treats that actually ARE for enjoyment only. The best part of Christmas is the look they get on their faces when we first turn the lights on the tree. It’s priceless.

  8. MichaelaMcKay says

We always include our dogs in holiday pictures and events, they’re the best!

  9. Theresa Spaid says

They share the turkey or ham or whatever we have. I give them a Christmas Stocking usually from Walmart and they have treats and toys in them.

  10. My pets are just as much a part of my family as any human! We include them in our family photos (so they get to star on the Christmas cards we send out) and they get presents. The cats aren’t into Christmas as much as our dog, Cooper, so he gets more presents!

Our dogs aren’t thrilled about dressing up for photos, but I do get them things like reindeer antlers (and bunny ears for Easter, etc.) for photos.  I would love to do something extra for them for photos this year.  I also buy toys and treats for them, and make homemade dog cookies.  We don’t do a lot for the holidays and on Christmas my daughters and I go to my sister’s for the day, but it’s really not feasible to take the dogs with.  They stay home and get extra treats and play when we get home.

  19. Layla is included in everything, she even skypes with my Mom on another continent 🙂

  20. I buy my dog presents – sometimes holiday themed.  He would not allow me to dress him up but it would be really cute if I could!

  21. natural balance makes great treats!! we usually dress our pup up in a scarf and bowtie.

  22. Danielle Murgia says

Sissy and Reese’s each have a stocking that gets filled for Christmas.  They also get a present under the tree to unwrap on Christmas Day.  Sissy (who is a dog), gets groomed right before the holiday so she can look her best also.

  23. Christine Aiello says

Coco is always included in the holidays.  She has her own stocking, gets tons of presents, gets dressed up for the holiday, gets her photo taken with Santa every year. We go to her boyfriend’s house and spend a weekend there for the holidays so they can get their picture taken together with Santa and exchange presents.  She comes to the families houses that we visit for Christmas.  She is included in every part of Christmas.

  24. Our boxer, Jack and rescue pup, Sophie are a part of our holiday celebration. They each have their own stocking which we stuff with treats and the kids make homemade biscuits. Jack loves to wear his reindeer antlers while Sophie will be stylish in her Christmas sweater!
