Foam Finger Dog Toy in Michigan Football BarkBox

The College Football Barkbox we received was packed with really cute and fun Michigan fan gear, dog toys and treats but you can also get other teams including Florida, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State and more. See all team boxes HERE.

Michigan BarkBox Dog Treats

BarkBox always sends the BEST treats, and they can be customized when you join, especially for your dog’s size and common food sensitivities. Two full-size bags of tasty treats and a twin pack of chew sticks, perfect for gameday snacking. All BarkBox treats are made with great ingredients that you can feel good about giving to your dog, but if they ever send something you don’t like, you can contact them for a free replacement as part of their satisfaction guarantee.

Every BarkBox usually contains some special extras and surprises like this one — a Team Football Pennant that you can cut out and use as a photo prop when your dog shows off all their team gear on social media.

Michigan Football BarkBox Review

What would a football game be without a big foam finger? This one just happens to be a dog toy and it’s really the STAR of the box because of its size and adorableness.

And of course, every serious football fan and alum needs something for their dog to wear on gameday or any time. This Michigan Football Dog Scarf  says “Throw Me The Ball” which is basically Daisy’s motto in life. That and Go Blue!

As with all limited-edition BarkBoxes this collection won’t last long, so hurry to grab a College Football BarkBox with your favorite team’s gear or get one now as a gift and stash it away for Christmas, Graduation Day or any other holiday for your favorite college kid, alumni or football fan.

DIY Pet Project: Make Your Own Fetch and Tug Dog Toy!

Maize and Blue Dog Tug Toy, DIY Pet Toy

Here’s a fun and easy DIY Pet Toy project you can do with your kids or grandkids! I got the idea from Modern Dog Magazine and emailed Daisy’s Grandma with the link since she is always on the lookout for fun craft ideas to do with my niece (who I call “Little-A”) when they hang out together. Less than a week later, look what arrived in the mail addressed to Daisy, with the SWEETEST note from Little-A herself!

Letter to Daisy

While the original project used old t-shirts, my mom took the concept a step further and used inexpensive fleece fabric strips in Maize & Blue (University of Michigan team colors) for Daisy’s toy, and also made one for Daisy’s cousin Cody!

I think the fleece material will be more durable than t-shirts but you can use any old fabric you’d like to recycle (blankets, jeans, sweatpants, etc.) or watch for sales on holiday-themed fabrics and make some to stash away for stocking stuffers! You basically just twist or braid strips of fabric and knot it all together at the ends.

Playing Fetch and Tug with your dog can be a fun way to teach or practice skills and obedience commands including Sit, Give, Wait, Drop It and more. Check out these Tips on Teaching Your Dog Tug from the ASPCA Virtual Pet Behaviorist for info and advice!
