I took Daisy and her pal Stella to the park yesterday. Tried to get them both to “watch me” at the same time…with little success. I had lots of laughs trying though and they both did an excellent job at sit-stay!

More than half of U.S. dogs and cats are overweight or obese. While a chubby pet may seem cute, there can be some pretty serious health problems caused by excess weight. Obesity can even shorten a pet’s life expectancy! We all love our fur kids and want them to live a long and healthy life, so it’s super important to know whether your pet is overweight and what to do about it.

To help determine if your dog needs to lose weight, Natural Balance has created this Body Condition Score Chart. Use it for reference but be sure to speak with your veterinarian if you are unsure or want more guidance. Only your veterinarian or pet health professional can give you specific medical advice…as NB Insiders, Daisy and I are here to make you aware of the issue and point you in the right direction!

You can also view a similar chart for cats and get more facts here. If your dog or cat IS overweight, Natural Balance is holding a super fun new contest to help get your pet fit and fabulous!
