  2. Carrie Petersen says:

Nuts for Mutts, Rochester, NY would be happy to win 🙂

  3. Amy Orvin says:

I’d donate to the Charleston Animal Society

    2455 Remount Road, N. Charleston, S.C. 29406
Phone: (843) 747-4849 because they are a non-kill shelter that helps save animals everyday. They are dedicated to finding great homes for animals of all kinds!! They are so awesome! They have so many programs including a trap, spay, neuter, release program for stray cats that spays/neuters for FREE!

  4. MCSPCA – they do great work

  8. The Dog’s Den, of course! They have lots of all American mixes 🙂

  9. Danielle Murgia says:

Crossing Paths/ Save a Pet.  This is where my beloved Sissy came from.  She came on a transport from Alabama to PA from a kill shelter.  They do this every few weeks, they pay for and send a transport to a kill shelter in Alabama and adopt all the dogs and kitties on death row.  My Sissy is the best dog ever, and an adult dog at that!

  10. Yvonne B says:

    Definitely https://www.facebook.com/SickAndInjuredFeralDogPackInEastTexas
These two wonderful ladies rescued several badly injured stray dogs from the rural area in Texas.

  11. Shelley P says:

Multnomah Animal Services – this is where we adopted 2 of our dogs from. They do great work and do everything possible to find the animals great homes.

  12. There are SOOOOO many worthy rescue groups here in Hawaii but I will have to nominate K9 Kokua  they are a needy group serving the severely depressed West side of Oahu.  They cater to the homeless and try to get pets neutered, fed and educate the owners on responsible pet ownership.  A very hard job indeed especially when they undertake the unwanted people in society and try to help those with animals. They operate on a shoe string budget and could really use this.  Thank you!!

  13. If I win, I’d have the donation go to The Ark Animal Shelter in Cherryfield, Maine (http://thearkpets.org/). They’re a no-kill shelter that takes in cats and dogs (and other pets, on occasion), even when they know the animal has issues that require extra care. They also work with the community to provide low-cost spaying and neutering. Although none of my pets came from The Ark, I donate to them whenever I can and I even crochet “cat mats” for their feline residents to lounge on.

  14. I was rescued by 3 little dogs in need…each one so special and so deserving of a loving home.
The work Rescues do is amazing!!

  15. Theresa Spaid says:

The Twin City Animal Shelter in Lead, SD. Lead is a small town and these people care about the animals up here in the hills. It is a no kill and they could use the donation to help them.

  16. rebeccabasset says:

Basset Buddies of Texas, because they care for the Dogs and need the donation!

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  17. This organization is committed to be a no-kill shelter.  I adopted a beloved pet from them. Thank you for your consideration!

  18. BROOD – Basset rescue of Old Dominion

  19. I would donate to Senior Dog Haven and Hospice, Wilmington, DE

  20. Life is Labs, great rescue team in Georgia

  21. Havanese Rescue is a wonderful organization that takes incredible care of their pups – and are dedicated to finding the right family for every little Havanese…

  22. dachshund rescue of LA. Lots of people get these dogs b/c they’re trendy, they don’t take proper precautions, and then they dump the dachshunds when they start having back problems. DRLA adopts these dogs in ANY condition — paralyzed, blind, on wheels — provide whatever surgical solutions they need, and find them loving homes.

  23. If I win, I would donate to Berks Humane Society in Reading, PA.  They do a great job of rescuing dogs and supporting pet owners in our area.

  24. It would be Homeward Bound Pet Shelter in Decatur, IL. They are the only no kill shelter in Macon County and they really do good work.

  25. Sharon Lovering says:

PetMAC Arlington, VA – pet marketplace and adoption center.

  26. Tiffany King says:

I would get the money to SQ Rescue in Columbia, SC. SQ is a rescue that travels around SC saving dogs from many different kill shelters. They run completely on volunteer hours from many good people as well as many opening their homes to be fosters until the pups can be adopted.
SQ rescue matched me up with my puppy as a foster that never had the chance to leave me. My Daisy Mae and I have settled in together and are now jointly fostering more dogs while they await their furever home.

  27. Brooklyn Badass Animal Rescue is my favorite because they rescue dogs from all over the place, rename the dog with a cute name and have wonderful people foster the dogs. Then they take pictures of the dogs in a home atmosphere so people can see that these dogs will make wonderful pets. Their adoption rate is high and pets move off their Facebook page regularly. See here: http://www.badassbrooklynanimalrescue.com/available-dogs/

  28. Lucky’s Place, Sauk Rapids, MN

  29. Save-a-pet non kill shelter

  30. Dorothy Parungao says:

I would donate to Friends For Life in Houston TX. They are a LEED certified green, no-kill shelter. They love animals and work hard for all of them. I am proud to be one of their volunteers.

  31. Wrightway Rescue in Niles IL. We got our wonderful coonhound puppy Roxy there in April and we absolutely love her!

  32. German Shepherd Safe Haven in Laguna Niguel, CA. They’re a small group that goes above and beyond for the dogs they rescue and the families that foster and adopt from them.

  33. The vet on post at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. They house all the animals abandoned or lost on post and adopt out at a base fee that barely covers their costs.

  34. Linda Szymoniak says:

Red Sky Rescue in Medora, IN.  Ruth Riley runs the rescue virtually single-handedly and does an amazing job, saving so many dogs in a rural area that would otherwise never have a chance.

  35. I’d like to donate to Paws and Prayers from Akron, OH. It’s the rescue group where I adopted my first baby from. My life has never been the same since (Kit the Shiba Inu has gained 3 brothers since then!) and I can’t be happier thanks to them.

  36. Katie Amanda says:

Ulster County SPCA in Kingston NY is my shelter.  I’m a volunteer there and they are a very caring shelter with great staff and volunteers.  They are also a no kill shelter.  My boyfriend adopted our pit mix, Rocket, from that shelter and the trainer worked wonders with Rocket before we got him.  He’s named Rocket because when he is told to “launch,” he jumps in your arms.

  37. Maessr

  38. Kelly Ann T. says:

The Franklin County Humane Society in Union, MO. They do not receive any funding and run on volunteers and donations.

  39. laurie nykaza says:

Southern California German Shepherd Rescue thank you for this wonderful giveaway for pets

  40. J. Mitch says:

Pets Inc. in Columbia, SC. They are a great rescue/shelter organization that house HUNDREDS of cats and dogs every single day. I don’t know how they do it and I think it’s a great thing.

  41. My favorite Pet Rescue that I would like to receive this prize is Labrador Friends of the South. I have three Labrador Retrievers myself and absolutely love the breed. This breed is very popular and the #1 most popular breed in the U.S. That means there are also means there are more people getting Labs and then abandoning them or turning them in to shelters and rescues. Labrador Friends of the South does such great work helping these dogs to find homes.

  53. Leslie Benjamin says:

It would be so great to be able to present this $100 donation to the Purdy Prison Pet Partnership.  They are a local organization that rescues and trains homeless animals to be service dogs.  This is a true example of involving many facets of the community to help both the human and animal populations!

  54. I would donate the $100 to one of my local animal organizations rescue groups. I love helping animals. I know there are many in need. I used to volunteer for some in Orange county. I only know the humane society here where I adopted one of our dogs. It is unfortunate there are so many groups needing help. I want to help all of them.

They have provided us with such a great experience in the rescue world, given us great connections and friends (human and canine), and they have given me an amazing puppy who Bella and I love to pieces.

  70. Any no kill group in Arizona

  72. Karen Stiff-Carroll says:

Kodi’s Club Rescue would love the 100.00!! My dogs LOVE NB!

  74. I would donate the money to Last Hope K9 Rescue, the organization I volunteer and foster with.  They’ve saved the lives of over 1,000 dogs in just over a year!  They’ve even saved the lives of dogs chained to fire hydrants and poles on the streets of NYC.  This has happened at least 3 times now, it’s so sad.  It just happened today, and it was JUST a small puppy! 🙁  They could use the funds to help pay the bills of a lot of medical issues of these dogs.

  102. Chelsea Place says:

Our local municipal pound, The Hopatcong Pound Project is awesome. They do their best for each and every dog and care that comes into them and it is a no kill. They are building a brand new cat facility and I want so much to help them provide the state of the art home for these cats that have awaiting their  forever home.

  104. Jennifer K. says:

I would love for the donation to go to SOS Animals Thailand (https://www.facebook.com/SOS.Animals.Thailand) They are a volunteer animal rescue organization who use social media to inform the public about dogs that need help and others may volunteer to assist with the dog that needs rescuing or medical attention. Unlike the US, Europe or other countries where seeing stray dogs is not common, in Thailand stray dogs are aplenty and common sight with many living in poor conditions on the streets. I wish I could do more for these dogs but I’m glad to know that there are organizations like SOS Animals Thailand that take action to help these poor animals. I remember coming across them during the severe floods that hit Thailand in 2011 and many animals needed rescuing and they got the word out and sent people to help. I also think $100 goes further there to help their cause.

  105. I would like Second Chance Animal Shelter to be given the money. I helped this group for A dog adoption weekend and they were awesome people.

  106. There are so many rescue groups and organizations I know of that would be so deserving of this donation that it’s hard to choose. One at the top of my list would the the local pet food pantry, 4PetSake. They try to provide food and supplies to pet families in need in the hopes of preventing pets from being dumped in shelters due to financial hardship. They are new, and especially due to recent severe flooding in our area, the pantry has been quickly depleted. However, since I’d have to choose, I think I’d end up choosing Double Dog Rescue. I feel an extra sense of loyalty to this rescue as it is where I adopted my girl Cheyenne from. They pull dogs from high-kill southern shelters and find them foster and ultimately adoptive homes in the north.

  107. desiree says:

the place is here in ozark mo no kill
and i make sure pic will be taken my dog will love the goodie and pic

  108. Laurie Emerson says:

Our local SPCA would be my choice. I chose them as they truly care about the pets they receive and do everything possible to find good homes for the pets. While the pets are there they show them so much love and compassion and this is where we adopted our 3 dogs and cat from.

  109. dawn cook says:

the delaware county ASPCA they have become a no kill shelter now and are always offering low cost adoptions, very low cost spay or  neuter and just do so very much for the animals…

  110. Jayden H. says:

  111. I would donate to the Knoxville Humane Society

  112. I tweeted: https://twitter.com/high_volzage/status/362750330502516736

  113. Sorry, I copied and pasted the above comment to the wrong page =P Can’t figure out how to delete it…

  114. Richard Hicks says:

I would choose AARF in Winston Salem NC. They are special because they try so hard on limited funds and I have adopted from them!!

  115. My choice would be The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands, New York. That shelter is very special to our family because that’s where we got our first dog, a beautiful lab mix, who was the best dog in the world.
