Rachael Ray Nutrish Naturally Delish

Daisy was recently invited to try out Rachael Ray Nutrish Naturally Delish dog food and we are super excited to tell you all about it! As regular readers know, we are huge fans of Rachael Ray! Not only is she sweet and relatable, but she is also an avid supporter of animal causes. All the proceeds from her dog food line, Nutrish, go to support Rachael’s Rescue – a charity that helps animals in need.

In addition to our girl crush on Rachael Ray, Daisy was also thrilled at the opportunity to have some wet dog food. We generally stick with dry kibble and reserve everything else for special occasions. As you can see, Daisy knew she was in for a treat and was eager to get to work on taste-testing!

We received 4 varieties of Nutrish Naturally Delish: Chicken Paw Pie, Hearty Beef Stew, Savory Lamb Stew and Chicken Muttballs with Pasta. All are made with simple, natural ingredients and have no artifical flavors, colors or preservatives. They also have no corn, no soy and no wheat (except for the Muttballs with Pasta which has semolina wheat flour). We tried the Chicken Paw Pie first. It contains nice-sized bites of chicken along with green beans and sweet potatoes. This combo is a trio of Daisy’s favorite ingredients so she must have recognized them by scent as soon as I opened the container. She was so excited that I just put the whole container on the floor and let her go to town! After all, she’d been so good waiting patiently while I unpacked the box, took photos and looked over all the info first!

I think that of all the varieties, Daisy’s favorite was probably the Hearty Beef Stew. She almost never gets to eat beef so I’m guessing that the combination of yummy ingredients along with the novelty of something new and different was what made this one the biggest winner of the bunch! The Beef Stew contains chunks of beef along with peas, carrots and potatoes in a beef gravy. One of the things I really like about the Naturally Delish wet dog food line is that all of the ingredients are recognizable and are nice, bite-sized pieces. Some canned foods just look like mush and might still taste good, but I like when the ingredients are still look like what they are suppose to! Sometimes the marketing photos for products make it look better than real life, but I took this photo with my iPad to give you an idea of exactly what it looks like with no touchups or professional effects. Pretty yummy looking, right???
