Love watching animals on TV and in the movies? Here’s a chance to go behind the scenes with some of your favorite animal actors, thanks to a special new book, Animal Stars: Behind the Scenes with Your Favorite Animal Actors.

From Mr. Popper’s Penguins to Snakes on a Plane, Crookshanks in Harry Potter and the werewolves in True Blood, the book covers stories about some of the best known and most beloved critters in modern film and television. It’s written in partnership with the American Humane Association and their No Animals Were Harmed staff, who go on set to protect over 100,000 animal actors every year to ensure their safety at work.

In addition to getting the inside scoop on how animals and their trainers work together to create convincing performances and amazing stunts, you’ll also enjoy heartwarming rags to riches stories of rescue animals who became celebrities, plus learn some pro tips that you can use with your own pets. The book includes dozens of quotes and endorsements from celebs such as Steven Spielberg, Scarlett Johansson, and Julia Roberts.

As if all that isn’t enough reason to grab a copy or three, a portion of the proceeds from book sales will also aid the American Humane Association. A collection of feel good animal stories that does good for animals, too…the perfect gift for every animal lover on your holiday list!

Visit Amazon.com to buy the book, available in both Hardcover and Kindle editions.
