Kitchen Daisy PAW5

What do I love collecting & using more than just about anything? Colorful bowls and kitchen gadgets! Just when I feel like my collection is complete, I find ‘just one more’ I didn’t know I needed but now can’t live without.

My latest discovery is actually a very special bowl for Daisy. Thanks to our new blog sponsor, the dog-loving folks over at PAW5, we’ve been trying out their new Rock N’ Bowl. It’s part bowl, part puzzle and ALL kinds of fun! What looks like a standard bowl is actually a unique puzzle feeder that will have your dog thinking, problem solving and having fun all at once.

Filling the PAW5 bowl

By adding environmental enrichment and mental stimulation to mealtime, you can turn a boring, routine part of your dog’s day into a fun brainteaser. Just pour food directly into the top (as easy as a normal bowl), the food runs through a hidden compartment, and your dog will paw, nudge, and play his or her way through mealtime!

Daisy has so much fun playing with her food in this thing that it was difficult to get good photos to show you. Here’s a quick video of Daisy and her PAW5 bowl in action. No sound effects were added…that’s all her, crunching away in regular speed AND slow motion! Check it out:

In addition to being super fun and engaging for your pup, the PAW5 bowl is also designed with pet parents in mind. It’s dishwasher-safe and BPA-free; made in the USA and holds up to 4 cups of food, for any meal and any breed. Because PAW5 is committed to sustainability, they use a manufacturing process that results in almost zero waste. The bowl comes in your choice of blue or orange. You can visit the PAW5 website here to learn more and get one for your favorite fur kid. My daughter has a new dog that is not quite a year old yet and this would be fun for her.

my middle child wolfs down her food, she currently uses a slow bowl, but it is too big for her. she is a little gal, mini schnauzer. she can be the last to get feed and the first one to finish. she is a real foodie. cleans the floors. i would like to try this to see if it would teach her some tricks as well as slow down her eating. she is not good with puzzle that you find the treats.

I have four rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds.  My Kyoko was nearly starved  before I adopted her, and even though she’s no longer starving (and is now downright chubby), she eats as though she is.  I have her on weight management food, but she practically inhales her food if I don’t watch her closely.  I’ve tried a slow feeder bowl, which has helped, but I think making her actually work for her food would really slow her down.

As for colorful items for my kitchen, does it say anything that I just today bought a set of six ceramic knives that are in six different colors?  I just love them and the colors are so much fun.

  4. My dogs eats super quickly and I dont even try to do anything about it.  I love colorful kitchen gadgets!

I have a male Boston that likes to play games when he eats, he would love this!  I do love colorful bowls, it just looks better.

  6. Almost Home Foundation, our pet rescue, sees many dogs with one behavioral issue or another. We’re always looking for ways to help improve our fosters’ adopt-ability  (and their comfort and happiness for years to come!) This sounds like it might be an awesome tool in helping these homeless dogs!

  7. My younger dog eats incredibly fast, and both dogs are high energy. Both would benefit from this interactive feeder.

Artie gulps his food so fast I’m surprised that he doesn’t choke. I would love to win this bowl for him.
