Does your pet have suspicious symptoms or odd behaviour? Don’t just search the web randomly or you will totally stress yourself out! We’ve all been there, done that…either for our pets, our human kids or ourselves! If you want to know whether your dog’s symptoms are serious and when you should call the vet, visit PetMD’s Pet Symptom Checker for informative, helpful, veterinarian approved articles.

Using PetMD is free and super easy. Designed for both cats and dogs, you can search from over 2,000 dog and cat health articles based on the symptoms your pet is experiencing. You start by selecting the type of animal you have and then the body part or behavior you are concerned about. You check off the symptoms and then see relevant articles with information tailored to your search!

This is handy and ideal for non life-threatening situations or to learn more about your pet’s medical condition but is NOT a substitute for individual veterinarian advice, diagnosis or assistance. A pet emergency could happen any time, so please make sure to have the phone number and address of  YOUR local 24-hour Pet Emergency Center or Veterinary Hospital handy at all times. We have the numbers on our fridge and also programmed them in our phones. In case of possible poisoning, you should call ASPCA 24-hour Emergency Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Triad Retail Media for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As I’m sure you know by now, I think of myself as Daisy’s mom, not her owner, and like all moms I consider it part of my job to make sure my family stays healthy and well organized. I mean think about it, in addition to hair cuts and doctor’s appointments and play dates, there’s also keeping track of who is allergic to what and when the little one is due for their next round of booster shots…and THAT’S just for the fur kids!

I was super excited to discover a cool new phone app that helps a mom out: the Purina Pet Health App. It’s like a Personal Assistant and Professional Organizer all-in-one!

Have trouble remembering when the next veterinarian’s appointment is?  Enter it and you won’t forget it! Want a reminder when it’s time to visit the groomer? No problem! I like that you can even enter your pet’s own specific health history information and notes about their medical needs. I never CAN find that sticky note where I wrote down how much Pepcid the doc said to give Daisy when she gets an upset tummy! Well, now I don’t have to worry about it. I can add notes to my phone when the vet gives me instructions or advice.

I also really like that when we are traveling, I can use the Pet Health App to find a vet or pet hospital in case of emergency. And since the app lets you load in multiple pets, I’m thinking of adding the info for Daisy’s boyfriend Fin, and her other pals that I sometimes sit for or walk when their parents are busy!

The app is available for both Android and iPhone operating systems and you can get the FREE download here!

Top Selling Pet Fountain Deal at Amazon

I love the modern look of this Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain and when I check out the reviews and details about the features, I see why it is near the top of the Bestsellers List for Dog Products on Amazon:

  • The Drinkwell Platinum is self-contained meaning it doesn’t need to connect to a water line, and can therefore be placed anywhere in your home.
  • It’s made of high-impact plastic that holds over one gallon of water, as well as a ½ gallon reservoir.
  • By using a 5-inch falling stream of water, the pet fountain continually aerates your pet’s water with healthful oxygen, encouraging your pet to drink more.
  • The submersible pump creates a nearly silent operation, and the adjustable control valve allows you to regulate water circulation for a water flow that works best for your pet.
  • It’s made of high-impact plastic that holds over one gallon of water, as well as a ½ gallon reservoir.
  • It’s designed by a veterinarian.

A high tech and stylish device like this one is usually pretty pricey, so I was surprised to see that Amazon is selling it right now for only $44…that’s 37% Off regular list price ($69.99). It’s also eligible for Free Shipping, or the even faster 2-Day Free Prime Shipping if you happen to be a member. The item ships directly from, and is sold by, Amazon.com so there’s no worry about dealing with an unknown seller. You can even View a Video Demonstration of the Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain here.
