As pet bloggers, most of us are focused on bringing you photos and stories about our fur kids and don’t spend very much time in front of the camera or writing about ourselves. That’s why this Meet The Bloggers event, hosted by Go Pet Friendly, I Still Want More Puppies, Kol’s Notes, No Dog About It, The Daily Dog Blog, My Brown Newfies, CindyLu’s Muse, Life With Desmond, Bringing Up Bella, Heart Like A Dog, Rescued Insanity, Peggy’s Pet Place, and NEPA Pets is SUCH a great idea!
They’re giving us all the chance to learn a little more about our favorite pet bloggers, and let our readers know a little bit more about us humans behind the pet blogs you follow & read. Be sure to leave us a comment so we know you stopped by, or questions if you have them! Here’s a little bit about me:
What’s your favorite non-animal related book?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This magical little book never fails to lift my spirits or give me something new to think about. I’ve read it cover to cover more times than I can count, and given away my copy to someone so many times that I should buy it in bulk! Everyone will find their own meaning in it…for me it’s about staying true to yourself, listening to your inner voice, and always following your dreams.
What drives you nuts about your pets? What melts your heart?
It drives me nuts that Daisy is such a daddy’s girl! She and I spend most of the day together since I work from home…so I think she takes me for granted sometimes LOL! I also don’t get the satisfaction of an uber-excited dog at the end of the day like he does when he walks in the door. What really melts my heart is when she is scared or not feeling well and she climbs on top of me and nuzzles me for comfort. I guess babies really do appreciate their mom most at times like those!
If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
In a perfect world it would be to move to Hawaii. I don’t know HOW we’d deal with Daisy flying there but I think about it often. I just love everything about the place! More realistically, I’d like us to move to a bigger place, and one with a backyard so that Daisy could have a fur sibling, and more room to play. We’re working on that!
What do you wish you were more skilled at?
Just about everything! I wish I were a better dancer, photographer, cook, housekeeper, writer…lots of room for improvement on all fronts. LOL!
What’s one thing you have to do every day?
Drink coffee (and tea). I can’t go a day without coffee and usually drink several cups a day. I’m also a huge tea fan (Tazo Zen and anything from Teavana are my favorites both hot & iced).
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time at the beach, although we don’t make it there nearly as often as I’d like. I also really enjoy doing workout DVD’s. I’m not a fan of group classes or crowded gyms but I look forward to taking a work break just about every afternoon and doing Hip Hop Abs or Zumba in our living room.
Be sure to hop around to meet all the other paw-tastic pet bloggers participating in the event:
I share your love for Hawaii – Maui specifically. Oahu was too busy, the big island was too quiet, but Maui, much like Goldilocks, is juuuuuuuust right if you ask me!
And I think I’m on my 5th cup of tea today, so we share that too!
Nice to meet you on the hop!
Maui is where we were last time and we love it! I also like Oahu to visit but not to live. It reminds me of Hong Kong or Bangkok, both of which I love for the hustle & bustle and the food! Oahu is like a tamer version.
Fun to learn more about you. And Teavana..mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
YAY! Another tea lover!!!!
Great visual – Zumba in the living room…lol. Nice to get to know you better – love this Hop!
I look silly doing it but it’s SO fun…and no one is around to watch me, besides Daisy and she’s very non-judgmental LOL!
How great to “meet” you and learn more about you! I hear that moving to Hawaii with a pet can be quite a hassle! We had to help a few clients do it with their pets and I remember that it was not easy… still, it’s an awesome wish.
Yes, I’ve read that the rules and procedures to bring a pet are quite restrictive…maybe someday!
Lovely to meet you and read more about you 🙂 I’ve loved this hop as it’s introduced me to some wonderful blogs- can’t wait to read more of your blog in the future. Rach x
Thanks Rachael! I agree…so fun to meet everyone and discover some new blogs, too!
I’m such a tea fan too… I love just stopping into a tea shop to try new varieties and take some home!
Lovely to read more about you – so glad you joined the hop!
I’m drinking tea at this very moment! So glad to have some really nice varieties on hand to treat myself, especially when I have a bad cold like I do now! Great to meet another tea lover!
This has been such a great hop! The creators are geniuses! Nice to get to know you better. 🙂
I LIKE coffee (well, Lattes) but I can’t drink it often because it doesn’t agree with me. When I need a boost I have to rely on green tea. Nice to get to know you better.
Green tea is awesome too! I gave up dairy so I miss having lattes but drink espresso just about daily! Not sure it’s healthy but I sure enjoy them!
