Yes I have one.. her name is Nancy and she brings me lots of joy.
Our chihuahua Zoe came into our lives a year after our 2 year old chihuahua slipped out the door without my realizing it and was hit by a car. She also arrived about a week before our 10 year old Australian Shepherd was diagnosed with cancer and he went downhill sooo quickly. We lost Bear within a month. Having her this past 1 1./2 years has been very healing for us, and she is a bundle of cute and funny. Our cat Tao was from a litter of stray kittens and my mom took her for 2 years and then had some issues and couldn’t keep her, she has been back with us for 3 years now and she is the most cattiest cat ever, full of quirky behaviors. Love them both so much and appreciate both of their antics on a daily basis.
We got dog and cat fur friends. What makes them all special is that they are super cute and sweet.
We have two labs that we adopted as puppies that had some anxiety problems, and needed to be adopted together. They are 4 now and doing so well!
We adopted our rescue dog, Artie four years ago. He is special because he takes care of my wife when she has a migraine.
We have a literal zoo at our house – 3 Treeing Walker Coonhounds and 3 cats (all rescues). The three dogs came to me over the course of one year from high-kill shelters in NC and SC. In all three cases, I only had posts on Facebook showing a photo and giving some information on the dogs from volunteers helping find rescues and homes for the dogs at those shelters. I sent the adoption fees, had them pulled and vetted, found a wonderful rescue woman who temp boarded them for two weeks (the minimum amount of time a dog has to be out of a shelter before they can go on transports with other dogs), and then got them on volunteer rescue transports. I drive this type of transport. Basically, it’s a “tag team” with various drivers taking one or more “legs” – they split the total transport down into sections of about an hour or so of driving, after which one driver passes the dog(s) and any other animals and their paperwork, etc. off to the next driver. My dogs were on transport for two days – they were overnighted by rescue volunteers in Indianapolis and then up to MN. Of course, my dogs left the transport in NW Indiana but any other animals on the transport then continue to the end. As for our three cats, my Moko was found as a stray by a friend’s father over 7 years ago. Arata is actually my daughter’s cat and she adopted him from a rescue near Indy nearly four years ago. My baby – Kotoha – was just two weeks old when I found her as a feral kitten last July. I had to bottle feed her at first and now she’s a healthy, beautiful one-year-old cat!
I have three dogs. Two are Boston Terriers and one is a mix of Boston/chihuahua. They are all special because they are always there to show me love.
I have one dog – it’s my boyfriends.. she is a chug and her name is Nancy.
