embark on pet health pledge

Help AHA and Shelter Pets with a Click of Your Mouse:

Make sure to take the emBARK on Pet Health Pledge to schedule a little time to bone up on your pet’s health needs. For each pledge made, Sergeant’s will send a Pet Health Kit to local American Humane Association shelters around the country to go home with newly adopted pets to help ensure their health care regimen is off to a great start! It only takes a sec, so take the pledge here.

About American Humane Association:

Since 1877, the historic American Humane Association has been at the forefront of virtually every major advance in protecting children, pets and farm animals from abuse and neglect. AHA also supports America’s shelters, humane societies and SPCAs.

As the nation’s voice for the protection of children and animals, AHA reaches millions of people every day through groundbreaking research, education, training and services that span a wide network of organizations, agencies and businesses. American Humane Association Fact Sheet

The Harlem Shake Goes To The Dogs…And To SeaWorld, Too!

pets harlem shake

You may or may not already be familiar with (or sick of) the Harlem Shake meme that’s been going around on YouTube recently. I think it’s pretty funny even if it’s already on its way out as many pop culture experts are predicting…

If you need to catch up, Wikipedia describes the concept:

“The videos last 30-something seconds and feature an excerpt from the song “Harlem Shake” by electronic musician Baauer. Usually, a video begins with one person (often helmeted or masked) dancing to the song alone for 15 seconds, surrounded by other people not paying attention or unaware of the dancing individual. When the bass drops, the video switches to the entire crowd doing a crazy convulsive dance for the next 15 seconds. The dancing style should not be confused with the original Harlem Shake dance. Moreover, in the second half of the video, people often wear crazy outfits or costumes while wielding strange props.”

It’s not just humans that have gotten in on the act…here are some of my favorite Harlem Shake Videos featuring hilarious and cute animals:

Harlem Shake: Animal Office Edition from The Pet Collective

Harlem Shake (Puppy Edition)

SeaWorld Harlem Shake: Sea Lions and Walrus!

Harlem Shake Rambo The Cat Edition

I’m having a hard time choose a favorite…leave us a comment and let us know which ones made you laugh!
