Hang Plants Like Wall Art: Stylish and Pet-Friendly DIY Home Decor Idea
I just spotted this super gorgeous Living Wall Planter kit and had to share it with you. I’m in love with it because it’s not only creative, and really cool, but it’s also a great way to keep certain plants out of the reach of pets.
We don’t have a yard so I love having living plants, flowers and greenery around on the window sills and balcony, but sometimes I’ve had to pass on certain plants I’d love to grow, because they could be poisonous if Daisy got curious and started munching on them. Here’s a list of plants that are poisonous to pets that the ASPCA pet poison control center has put together.
In the past, I’ve bookmarked several DIY Vertical Wall Planter projects, including this one from Home Depot, but never found the time to get all the supplies together and make one.
These DIY planter kits come complete with a moisture mat that distributes water evenly, planter hardware and even includes a frame to complete the look. You just mount the included bracket on a secure vertical surface, fill the tray with plants and hang—SUPER easy!
Water enters through the top chamber and spreads evenly across the moisture mat, so the plant is hydrated without getting soaked. Full kits with everything you need are on sale here right now for $59 OFF.
If you miss the sale, or want to make a true DIY project out of it, you can buy just the planter portion of the kit for $29 and then design or re-purpose your own frame or holder.
