Calling all crafters and DIY fans…there’s a fun new DIY Pet Project series on YouTube you’ll want to know about!

The Pet Collective has just launched a brand-new series created especially for those of us who are crazy for our pets. It’s called Sedona’s Super-Awesome, Incredibly-Fantastic, Uberly-Cool, Do-It-Yourself Pet Project (but they call it Sedona’s DIY for short).
It’s hosted by vivacious Sedona Cohen, who shows kids, tweens and pet parents how to make awesome DIY projects for and about their pets. From paintings to easy, no-sew pillows to organic apple-oatmeal pet snacks, Sedona can do it all … and will show you how, sharing her passion for animals through fun and creative projects.
The first installment in the new series is a super CUTE DIY Pet Silhouette project. Check it out:
Whether you are a beginner or expert crafter or somewhere in between, be sure to check out the huge selection of FREE mini-classes being offered over at Craftsy right now! I’ve taken the Craftsy Knitting class online, and found it to be fun and really easy to follow. I did it completely on my iPad but you can use another device, computer or laptop instead if you prefer. And once you buy a class, it’s yours to keep and retake as often as you like. Craftsy also offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so there’s nothing to lose if you don’t like a class after you signup for it!
I’m still working on my knitting, but they’ve got tons more classes I’d like to take soon! Here’s my Craftsy Wish List:
1) Drab To Fab Furniture Upcycling
2) Container Gardening
3) Jam & Marmalade
4) Jewelry Workshop
5) Family Scrapbooking

I just spotted this super gorgeous Living Wall Planter kit and had to share it with you. I’m in love with it because it’s not only creative, and really cool, but it’s also a great way to keep certain plants out of the reach of pets.
We don’t have a yard so I love having living plants, flowers and greenery around on the window sills and balcony, but sometimes I’ve had to pass on certain plants I’d love to grow, because they could be poisonous if Daisy got curious and started munching on them. Here’s a list of plants that are poisonous to pets that the ASPCA pet poison control center has put together.
In the past, I’ve bookmarked several DIY Vertical Wall Planter projects, including this one from Home Depot, but never found the time to get all the supplies together and make one.
These DIY planter kits come complete with a moisture mat that distributes water evenly, planter hardware and even includes a frame to complete the look. You just mount the included bracket on a secure vertical surface, fill the tray with plants and hang—SUPER easy!
Water enters through the top chamber and spreads evenly across the moisture mat, so the plant is hydrated without getting soaked. Full kits with everything you need are on sale here right now for $59 OFF.
If you miss the sale, or want to make a true DIY project out of it, you can buy just the planter portion of the kit for $29 and then design or re-purpose your own frame or holder.
