Daisy and I are super excited to be warming up to join Koly & Kelly and their moms at K9 Kamp 2012 – a fun and interactive fitness challenge that encourages everyone to get out and get active with your dogs. Not only are we participating in this fabulous event, but I’ll also be one of the featured bloggers – sharing our experiences and updating you on our progress throughout the 4-week series of fitness challenges!
We decided to join K9 Kamp for several reasons…the most important being FUN! When we aren’t hard at work testing new products and finding the best pet deals for you, Daisy and I enjoy a good laugh and as much playtime as possible and this sounded like LOTS of fun when we heard about it! And, although we enjoy walking and spending time outdoors, we aren’t always so good about sticking to a fitness routine and Mama isn’t exactly what you’d call the ‘athletic type’ . We’re looking forward to trying some new activities and incorporating a little more ‘exercise’ into our routine. I’m not naming names but one of us here could stand to lose a few pounds (Daisy says it’s Mama)! I also think K9 Kamp sounds like a GREAT chance to get to know other pawsome pet bloggers and give you the chance to get to know us better, too!
We really hope that you will join us along the way! It’s free and easy to participate – you can do a little or a lot, and blog about it or post comments on our blog if you don’t have one of your own. We’d love to hear from you and it will help encourage us to do our best, too! Each challenge can be tailored to any fitness level, which is a GOOD THING since Mama’s knees just ain’t what they used to be! And did I mention there will be prizes?!? Be sure to check in at K9 Kamp Headquarters where a new challenge begins each Friday thru June 18th. The first one starts tomorrow May 18th so Daisy and I will see you bright and early at Kamp!

FUN is a great reason to join! It looks like you are all set with the right “tools” to kamp with us! I can tell from the picture that Daisy has a ton of energy and is ready to go. I’m not really the most athletic type either, but k9kamp is helping me to enjoy being active. Now that’s fun, right?!
This sounds great! Siren and I will check out the challenge tomorrow and have some fun with it. In terms of great dog products, which I know you are always looking for- the Kurg ball, which is made in the USA and sold by Uncommon Paws- is really indestructible for heavy chewers or dogs with a strong grip and Siren LOVES it! We stopped at the Uncommon Paws booth at a Bass Pro Shops event two weeks ago and this ball was recommended to us, and we are so glad we picked it up. Just an FYI.
