BarkBox Review + Coupon Prom Edition 2018

Some posts may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

We were a little behind schedule in letting Daisy open her June BarkBox but it was worth the wait. The theme was Squeakhearts Under the Stars and it was truly prom-tastic, complete with prom-posal, corsage, and more fun surprises!

In case you aren’t already familiar with BarkBox, it’s the most popular monthly subscription box for dogs and each box is customized for your dog’s size and food allergies.

We hope you’ll stay for our BarkBox review but if you are just here for the BarkBox coupon, code WOOFWOOFMAMA will get you a FREE extra month added to any order of 1-month or more at BarkBox.com/woofwoofmama.

Daisy gets the large dog box which is shown here, but whatever size your dog is, they will get the same number of toys and treats…usually 2 fun dog toys, 3 full-size bags of treats and 1 tasty chew. Often there are additional surprises and goodies thrown to go along with the monthly theme.

Note that this is the Classic BarkBox edition which usually includes plush toys. If your dog is a real toy destroyer then check out the BarkBox Super Chewer edition instead.

BarkBox subscription prices start at $21/month and shipping is free for US. Most toys are Bark exclusives and all treats are made in the US or Canada (we’ve seen some lamb treats from New Zealand and we’re ok with that!)

Here’s a look at what was in the June 2018 Classic BarkBox along with the retail values of each item if purchased separately:

June BarkBox Dog Treats

Baaallroom Dance Dog Treats ($8 retail value) These lamb and duck dog treats are great for dogs with a sensitive tummy (like Daisy) and are super tasty (according to Daisy). No wheat, corn or soy. Fun short sticks make them the right size for stuffing in puzzle toys.

Fish Platter Dog Treats ($8 retail value) Made with salmon and whitefish; soft and chewy. I like how tiny these dog treats are which makes them perfect as pocket treats while training or out for walks. This full-size bag will last a LONG time since we can dole them out in such small portions!

Deluxe Lamb Chew Stick for Dogs ($4 retail value) Etta Says! is one of our favorite brands for meat chews and this crunchy stick doesn’t disappoint. 7″ of tasty lamb.

June BarkBox Dog Toys

Andrew the Hopeful Nerd Dog Toy ($14 retail value) Adorable prom-posal and super fun 17″ dog toy. BarkBox has started labeling most of their dog toys with info on the features (hidden spikey ball toy inside, rope material, etc.)

Click n’Rip Camera Dog Toy ($16 retail value) It’s been a while since I’ve seen a disposable camera but this one has an extra special surprise BONUS TOY hidden inside!

The info card that came in this month’s BarkBox had perforated tear-out prom accessories: a bow tie and a rose corsage. Just what every dog needs for those perfect prom pics!

BarkBox Cost and Value

By our calculation, this month’s BarkBox had $50 worth of dog toys and  treats if you were to purchase them all separately.

That’s an amazing value when you consider that subscription prices start at $21/month with free US shipping.

In addition to saving money, we also love the WOW-factor and excitement of getting a new delivery of surprises each month. It’s a chance to discover new dog treats and toys that we might not have known about otherwise. And the BarkBox toys are really Instagram-worthy, making them the perfect photo props in addition to some amazing dog toys.

BarkBox Review + Coupon ~ Age of the Furaoh

Some posts may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Dog moms and dads, we’ve got the full scoop on what was in this month’s BarkBox dog subscription box, AND a coupon so you and your dog can try it too!

In case you hadn’t heard, BarkBox is a monthly delivery of goodies, toys and treats, all customized for your dog’s size as well as any food allergies. You can choose the length of your subscription, and shipping is FREE for the US.

Every month’s BarkBox has an original theme with 2 cute dog toys and 2 full-size bags of tasty dog treats and 1 yummy chew.

Note that this is the Classic BarkBox edition which usually includes plush toys. If your dog is a real toy destroyer then check out the BarkBox Super Chewer edition instead.

The May BarkBox theme was Age of the Furaoh, a journey back to a time when dogs ruled Ancient Egypt.

Here’s a look at what was in the May 2018 Classic BarkBox along with the retail values of each item if purchased separately:

May BarkBox Dog Toys

The Ferocious Pharaoh ($16 retail value) This toy is designed to be destroyed. It’s got some fluff inside, and a hidden mummy spiky ball bonus toy just waiting to be discovered! We haven’t gotten to the inside yet, but I can’t wait til Daisy decides to rip him open! Here’s a photo from BarkBox in case you’re interested.

Slug Bug Beetle Tug ($16 retail value) At 15″ long, this tug toy is BIG! It’s got a full body squeaker, 2 smaller squeakers and crinkle material, too. It’s perfect for a game of fetch and tug, or for supervised play (like a game of hide-the-toy).

BarkBox sent along a reminder card in this month’s BarkBox about dog toy safety, along with info on how to contact them with questions or concerns. We love the thoughtful details like this.

May BarkBox Dog Treats

PB & Bacon Sandwiches Dog Treats ($8 retail value) Made in the USA by Blissful Biscuit. All-natural ingredients including peanut butter and bacon make these dog treats the perfect blend of sweet and savory.

The Treat Pyramid Dog Treats ($8 retail value) A BarkBox exclusive, these dog cookies give your dog the taste of three proteins in each bite. Made in the USA with lamb, chicken and pork. Daisy has in her BarkBox profile that she doesn’t eat chicken, and before our box even arrived I got an email from them letting me know they’d accidentally sent these treats instead of no-chicken treats which they were sending out right away. We love their amazing customer service people, and this is just another example of how they go above and beyond to keep every person and pup happy!

Plato Pet Treats Thinkers Salmon Stick ($6 retail value) Every month’s box includes one tasty dog chew but this month we really hit the jackpot with TWO salmon sticks from one of our favorite US pet treat brands! Although Daisy would love to eat the whole thing at once, I like to break off pieces to help with portion control and make each stick last longer.

This month’s box also included a fun extra surprise. It’s a royal collar designed to be cut out of the wrapping paper in the box, along with stickers so you can customize it for your dog. Super fun and cute!

BarkBox Cost and Value

By our calculation, this month’s BarkBox had $54 worth of dog toys and  treats if you were to purchase them all separately.

That’s an amazing value when you consider that subscription prices start at $21/month with free US shipping.

In addition to saving money, we also love the WOW-factor and excitement of getting a new delivery of surprises each month. It’s a chance to discover new dog treats and toys that we might not have known about otherwise.

BarkBox Review + Coupon: A Pirate’s Tail

Some posts may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Dog lovers, I know I’ve said it before but this month’s BarkBox is SO adorable…I don’t know how they keep outdoing themselves! Looking back at all the great BarkBoxes we’ve received, it’s no wonder BarkBox is still the most popular dog subscription box services around, and one of our favorite things.

In case you hadn’t heard, each month your BarkBox delivery is customized for your dog’s size as well as any food allergies, and shipping is free in the US.

The April BarkBox theme was BarkBeard’s Treasure: A Pirate’s Tail.

In addition to the usual number of toys and treats, this box came with a surprise bonus bandana that has us singing “Yo Ho, Ho! A pirate’s life for me!”

Here’s a look at what was in the April 2018 Classic BarkBox along with the retail values of each item if purchased separately:

April BarkBox Dog Toys

Redbird the Parrot Dog Toy ($12 retail value) This funny fellow is fuzzy on the outside with a giant squeaker for a body plus crinkle material in his wings. Daisy always goes crazy for these kind of toys that make fun noises and are large enough to stomp on and carry around.

Ahoy Matey Bottle Dot Toy ($10 retail value) Another BarkBox original that is super cute and creative; a message in a bottle! It’s a plush tug toy with a stretchy t-shirt rope and a squeaky bottle for its core. Rope toys are great for playing tug and for flinging across the room for an indoor game of fetch!

April BarkBox Bonus Item

BarkBeard’s Bandana ($4 retail value) I’m making my best guess on the retail value since this limited edition dog scarf isn’t available for purchase separately as far as I can tell. It’s the perfect addition to this pirate-themed box of booty!

April BarkBox Dog Treats (All Made in the USA)

Lamb Ho Dog Treats ($8 retail value) These allergy-friendly dog treats are made with real lamb along with some sweet potato, coconut and a few other natural ingredients. They are skinny sticks, which is nice for a change of shape from the usual round dog cookies. They have some bite but are soft enough to break into smaller pieces which I do when I need a pocket full of training treats!

Fish ‘n’ Chips Medley Dog Treats ($8 retail value) Freeze-dried whitefish chunks along with some tasty salmon biscuits. These are wheat-free like almost all of the BarkBox treats we receive, but do contain barley.

10″ Liver Chew ($4 retail value) This all-beef stick is from Etta Says!, one of our favorite pet brands. It’s thicker than some of the other crunchy sticks they make, but I was still able to break off pieces for portion control, which I always try to do.

BarkBox Guarantee

One of the great things about BarkBox is their customer service and mission to make every dog a happy dog. As a BarkBox customer, if you ever receive a toy or treat that doesn’t meet your standards, or that your dog just isn’t crazy about, you can contact BarkBox and they will send a free replacement. It’s part of their Scout’s Honor satisfaction guarantee, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the service we’ve received in the 6 or so years we’ve been subscribers!

BarkBox Cost and Value

By our calculation, this month’s BarkBox had $46 worth of dog toys and  treats if you were to purchase them all separately.

That’s a great value when you consider that subscription prices start at $21/month with free US shipping. In addition to saving money, we also love the WOW-factor and excitement of getting a new delivery of surprises each month. It’s a chance to discover new dog treats and toys that we might not have known about otherwise.

BarkBox Review + Coupon: The Fine Arfs Edition

We’re back with a new BarkBox review! If you’re wondering what BarkBox is all about, it’s the most popular dog subscription box services around, and one of our favorite things. Each BarkBox is customized for your dog’s size as well as any food allergies, and shipping is free in the US and Canada. Every month’s BarkBox has an original theme with 2 cute toys and 3 tasty treats.

If you’re already familiar and just looking for a coupon, you can get a FREE extra month added to any order of 1-month or more when you use BarkBox coupon code WOOFWOOFMAMA at BarkBox.com. Or read on to learn more!

Note that this is the Classic BarkBox edition which usually includes plush toys. If your dog is a real toy destroyer then check out the BarkBox Super Chewer edition instead.

The March BarkBox theme was The Academy of Fine Arfs and truly ia a work of art! In addition to the tasty treats, there’s something extra special about one of the toys, that Daisy can really relate to. Keep reading to find out what it is, if you haven’t guessed already!

Here’s a look at what was in the March 2018 Classic BarkBox along with the retail values of each item if purchased separately:

March BarkBox Dog Toys

Paint Tube Tug Dog Toy ($12 retail value) This cute dog toy is filled with fluff and topped with t-shirt rope making it perfect for a game of tug.  It also has a grunt squeaker inside, making it extra artsy fartsy!

Vincent Van Squirrel Dog Toy ($16 retail value) This is a toy designed for heavy chewers, which is a FREE toy upgrade BarkBox will give you if you let them know you like the classic box but need a bit stronger toys for your dog. We think its EXTRA special because like Vincent, Daisy only has one ear! Now all she needs is her own paintbrush.

March BarkBox Dog Treats

Painter’s Pallet Treats ($8 retail value) Pork, blueberries and carrots make these treats colorfully delicious. You can actually see the little flecks of fruit and veggie in these crunchy dog treats.

Starry Bites Dog Treats ($8 retail value) These all-natural dog treats are made in the USA with chicken as the number one ingredient.

Woof Stix 2-Pack ($7 retail value) These all beef dog chew sticks are 11 inches each and can be easily broken into smaller pieces. Even though Daisy would LOVE to eat the whole thing at once, we always break off smaller pieces with meat chews like this. Not only does it make them last days longer, but I feel that moderation is best when it comes to these ultra meaty treats!
